At least 50 of last year’s graduates are earning more than $44,000 a year, with a few students earning between $70,000 and $100,000 a year, he said.
One top earner is Mr Brian Yap, 25, an associate at a foreign private bank here, who landed the job in March, two months before his final examinations.
The first class honours accountancy graduate who had four other job offers is in the bank’s management associate programme and deals mostly with wealth management
He declined to reveal his salary, but indications from the banking industry puts it at about $50,000 a year.
I take it we are talking Sinapore Dollars here. I never earned any first class honours, the best was third class.
